Charlotta Tönsgård has now joined GWS Production AB as a board member. Charlotta has previously worked for Blackberry and Min Doktor among other companies. She is delighted to join GWS and looks forward to contributing positively to the growth of GWS Production AB.
Charlotta Tönsgård is 35 years old, studied at Lund University with a focus on telecommunications and business. She spent 8 years working for different companies in the mobile industry. Four of these she was stationed in South Korea responsible for sales APAC, she also worked at Blackberry doing mergers and acquisitions. Most recently she worked as CEO of Swedish company Min Doktor.
Asked why GWS? Charlotta says, “Many things make GWS interesting. To begin with, I believe GWS has a solid team with great potential. Secondly, it is the impact the service creates on people’s lives. We have never traveled as much as we do today, both for business and pleasure. From a business perspective, the employer has to take responsibility of their employees when they travel abroad, but I know from experience that it’s difficult to know how to do it. With GWS´ quick and cost effective way of keeping travelers safe, employers can now take care of traveling staff much easier.”
Charlotta further added that “I see it as a way of letting go of worry. When I am out traveling I do not want to constantly be seeking information on where or what is safe about the country I am in. Instead, I would rather let Safeture take care of that for me and so my focus will be on the reason why I have traveled, be it vacation or business. And if something does happen, I know Safeture will let me know”.
Charlotta is very excited about joining GWS and says business, scalability, and usability is a great focus for her as a starting point. She is eager to quickly learn more about the team and company and to work closely with the other board members.
About GWS Production AB and Safeture
GWS, (Global Warning System) was founded in 2009, triggered by the experience of the global SARS epidemic, the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, and the Mumbai terror attacks. The company offers a personal security mobile app, Safeture. The app protects travelers through real-time tracking and provides valuable real-time information about disasters, and other threats that could impact you while you’re abroad. The system consists of a range of services that are delivered via the traveler’s mobile phone and is suitable for both businesses (Safeture Pro), and for private individuals (Safeture).
